The Best of Mike Mazzari Trio Vol. 1

This record contains the most important tracks recorded by the Mike Mazzari Trio. Over the course of almost 20 years – in Milan, Berlin, and Palermo – creativity and a great respect for tradition have always been the backbone of my research.
Creating a jazz record isn’t easy. There always needs to be a personal touch even when playing the classics. Playing in a trio allows personal creativity to shine through, in classics like “Sunny” and “Little Sunflower”, but also in my own original compositions.
After listening to the record, I think the intent of my trio is clear: to give listeners a personal interpretation of pieces with a modern and original interplay.
This first volume of “The Best of Mike Mazzari” puts together my hits played in different places, with different musicians, and in different periods of my life. However, despite these differences, they all represent the desire to showcase music that is coherent with its time, and respectful of traditions.
